Hastings Eco Fair was held in Hastings Town Centre in and around Robertson Street on Saturday 16 September 2006 from 10am-4pm to coincide with European Car Free Week. The Eco Fair aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and greener lifestyles.  There were stalls and interactive displays on composting, renewable energy, organic and local food, recycling, Fair Trade products, bike demonstrations, children's activities and lots more. The event was also linked throughout the town centre with live music and other performances.
